Programme Synopsis

Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Mr. Lawrence Wong, will deliver his Budget 2025 Statement in Parliament on 18 February 2025. This year’s Budget is special for the nation as well as Mr Wong. It coincides with Singapore’s 60 years of independence and is also the last Budget before the next General Election is held this year with Mr Wong leading the Ruling Party for the first time.

The government had indicated that it will focus on addressing cost of living and social welfare, providing support to businesses to drive economic growth, employment and skills upgrading, as well as strengthening national solidarity and unity for SG60.

Will there be any new and innovative tax measures introduced in this year’s Budget and will any long standing tax policies be phased out?

In addition to sharing the major highlights of Budget 2025 and how businesses and individuals can seize any tax planning opportunities presented by any new tax measures, this webinar by ACCA will also discuss the recent significant tax developments in Singapore.
