Programme Synopsis

Certain payments made to non-residents are subject to Singapore withholding tax. Whilst the incidence of tax falls on the recipient of the income, the onus of tax collection is placed on the payer. Businesses need to pay close attention to their withholding tax obligations as non-compliance or late
payments can lead to hefty penalties from the tax authorities.

This 2-parts webinar of 1.5 hours each adopts a practical approach to help businesses comply with Singapore withholding tax requirements, and includes case studies to illustrate payments that are subject to withholding tax and associated administrative requirements to be complied with, including situations where the non-resident is claiming relief/exemption under double taxation agreements.
