Programme Synopsis

With the onslaught of global tax developments and the advancement of technology adoption by tax administrators, not to mention the heightened scrutiny on related-party transactions across the board with different focus in each jurisdiction, the transfer pricing (TP) audit landscape has evolved dramatically in the recent years.

Bringing expertise across two financial hubs over two key continents, the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) and the Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals are collaborating for the first time, formalising the years of informal partnerships and exchange between the two tax professional bodies.

Join in this inaugural joint webinar on this hot topic of managing TP scrutiny by gaining a better understanding of the TP audit landscape in UK as well as in Singapore. Hear from Ms Astrid Vroom, Transfer Pricing Director, at EY UK, and Mr Richard Lombard, Transfer Pricing Director at Deloitte Ireland, as well as Accredited Tax Advisor (Income Tax) Ms Adriana Calderon, Director, Asia and Malaysia at Transfer Pricing Solutions Asia, as they share their practical experiences and observations from the frontlines of helping companies manage their TP positions.

Participate in the panel discussion at the end, moderated by CIOT’s ADIT (Advanced Diploma in International Taxation) Ambassador for Southeast Asia, Mr Wong Jia Yu

Programme Outline

  • Gain an awareness of the overall transfer pricing regulatory framework & audit landscape in UK and Singapore, with insights on Ireland too
  • Know the tax authorities’ focus areas to better manage your TP position
  • Pick up practical tips on what to do in an audit and manage it confidently
  • Learn how to tap into existing programmes to preemptively manage a company’s overall TP affairs
SCTP reserves the right to vary any aspect of the event/ webinar should the situation warrant or due to unforeseen circumstances. This includes but not limited to the following: cancel the programme, change the venue, speakers, programme dates, fees and CPE hours. SCTP will take reasonable effort to notify participants of the changes.
