Programme Synopsis

This session explains some of the key considerations when a Patriarch or Matriarch considers a succession plan with a family trust. The jurisdiction of the trust is an important consideration, and it is the forum for parties to the trust interacts. The mental capacity of the Patriarch or Matriarch is key to ensure that family trust is validly set up to avoid contentious situations in the family. Finally, besides the trustee, who do you reach out to assist you in executing the family trust? What can advisors do to lend a hand to their clients?
